Corecog is the largest Congolese
Charity in the UK working with asylum seekers and refugees. Our Training
and Employment Section provides specialist language, basic skills and
work-related training for asylum seekers, refugees and people from ethnic
minorities in a uniquely supportive environment. We offer impartial careers
advice and guidance as well as vocational advice to help Asylum and Refugees
into further education or work,
We also work in partnership with other organisations to provide language
and work-related training, and offer workshops to support workforce development.
We deliver training at our centre in Newham, London.

Corecog is a centre where adults can learn English with support and advice
from tutors in a friendly, welcoming and flexible environment.
Learn to communicate in English:
• Get help in your native language (for example Lingala)
• Listen to dialogue with cassettes
• Record your speaking and role-play if needed
• Practice grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation Would you like
to:
• Improve your reading and writing?
• Brush up on your computers skills?
• Polish the skills you need for everyday life?
• Become more confident at work or college?
• Accessing the internet / use E-mail: receiving and sending electronic
mail.
• Then talk to our one experienced staff?
This is an intensive course, 3 to 4 days a week. The programme is a structured
yet flexible package to meet the needs of learners. The programme includes:
• ESOL: (English Speaking for others languages) Fast Track to Employment
or Further Training
IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?
These courses are offered to French Speaking people who using English
as a second language. You will have the opportunity to develop yourself
and communication skills - raising your employment potential in a competitive
labour market. You do not need to have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Who want good improvement by overcoming barriers in their life?
We offer a free ESOL and IT course for French Speaking using English as
a second language. These are the free courses for asylum and Refugees
without an existing level.
